Voice Lawyers Statement - March, 20th, 2020

March 20, 2020

There are now more than 245,660 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide, with 756 cases in Australia as of today, Friday, March 20th, 2020.

Employers in Australia and all over the world, are being advised by State and Federal governments to take necessary precautions to actively manage their business’ exposure to Coronavirus during this critical time, adapting to new ways of working to protect the health and safety of their employees.

As the Coronavirus continues to spread and cause disruption to the way we work and live, we will be updating our clients, on the current situation, as effectively as possible and advising how employers can best adapt during this challenging time.

As a business and legal practice we have adapted the way we work to ensure we strive to provide the highest quality service to our clients under these tough conditions, our promise to you is to keep you informed while being considerate of your circumstances.  As a people-focused legal practice, professionalism, communication and consideration, is very important to us. As your legal partner, we’re here to help you navigate your legal requirements as an employee and bring ease where we can.

We will be conducting face-to-face interactions via video conferencing and will be moving our team to an online format, communicating and working via cloud-based technology for sharing of information and even identification checking.  All of which we already had in place so there is very little transition required for our team.  You can be assured our service will remain unchanged in this uncertain time.

The Federal Court has announced that all face-to-face court appearances prior to June 30 will be conducted over video conferencing and will be either moving to telephone conferencing of suspending matters until they are in place. Please contact us directly if you have any concerns regarding this.

Voice Lawyers are here to help you navigate this challenging, uncertain time and assist you with your employment matters.
