Hello, I am Kayte

I am in legal practice with an interest and commitment to both individual and corporate employment law issues, I have a background in the entertainment industry and in education profession. Along with employment law I have a special interest in brand protection and intellectual property management.

I have a commitment to education and training for lawyers and workplace training and to the improvement of communication as a means of resolving disputes. I have presented various continuing professional development seminars for the NSW Law Society on the topic of leadership development and effective communication and have worked with SME, indigenous organisations and multi- nationals to design and deliver training on bullying and harassment, effective workplace communication and best practise employment law.


I was admitted as a lawyer in the NSW Supreme Court in 2012 and the High Court in 2013. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I have had many years of experience in business as an owner and consultant, particularly in the area of communication skills HR and training.

Along with Voice Lawyers, I own and operate Voice Consultants and Advocates and am a Nationally Accredited Mediator, additionally holding a master’s in Applied Law in dispute resolution.


My Commerce Degree with majors in Human Resources Management and Business Economics along with over 25 years’ experience in business have provided a well-rounded foundation for my consultancy and legal work.


Voice Lawyers was founded by me in 2017 after having worked in two boutique employment law practices and in an entertainment law firm where I was responsible for the employment law aspects within the firm.

My practice involves all levels of employment law including dispute resolution, litigation, mediation contract review, organisational change, designing and implementing workplace training and development, brand protection and intellectual property management. 


My firm has appeared in a wide variety of tribunals and courts including the Federal Circuit Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Fair Work Commission.


I have been a member of the Law Society Employment Law Committee since 2017 and previous to that I served for 4 years on various levels in NSW Young Lawyers including on the Executive Council and in 2016 being elected to the position of Treasurer of NSW Young Lawyers.

As a member of the Law Society’s Employment Law Committee, I have been directly involved in providing input to the Law Society of New South Wales on legislative changes in employment.


I am a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) committee since 2018.



I am on the panel of mediators for the NSW Law Society and the Panel of mediators for the small business ombudsman.
